Synopsis:
Far from being a statistic, this 18 year old Harlem Native is leaving for his first semester of college next week, and wants to make sure his mom is financially stable before he goes. Things at home have gotten rough, and his mom is struggling to make ends meet. Planning to get the money to provide for her, Raine makes his first stop at the bodega. With each familiar passerby, comes a refined decision of his own. Con-Ed may have cut his service, but these encounters help him see the light.
